Family von Büren presents its cheese dairy :

Our small family business is placed in the centre of village Villeret, well known for its famous gorge “Combe-Grède”.

We produce the aromatic Tête de Moine AOP and unique “Villeret special”. “Gombe Crède” and “Bijou d’Or” are other cheeses that we make with passion. We also offer pasteurized cream and house-made lactose-free yogurts with 24 different flavours. Several fondue-mixes, serac and many regional products such as flour, pasta, honey, eggs, etc. complete our shop’s assortment.

Since 1990, we have been buying and transforming the milk of our five producers. Today, we are transforming about 1.3 million kg of milk per year. Our milk producers operate farms in the immediate surroundings of our dairy and deliver their milk twice a day. This type of delivery is ideal for us : with these conditions, we are able to manufacture products of excellent quality.

It is very important for us that our products meet the expectations of our customers.

In March 2018, we have started our photovoltaic system’s operation. About 30% of our electricity needs will be produced on site. In 2020, it is planned to be connected to district heating (CO2 neutral) and to optimize cold production.
